Professional Information:
I currently work in the Future Technology Group at Sony Interactive Entertainment (Sony PlayStation), where I design real-time algorithms for AI-generated content in games. My focus areas include frame interpolation, super-resolution, and 3D generation.
I completed my PhD at the SketchX Lab, part of the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) at the University of Surrey, United Kingdom. I was supervised by Yi-Zhe Song and Tao Xiang. My thesis was examined by Philip Isola (MIT) and Josef Kittler (CVSSP, University of Surrey). One of the chapters from my PhD was recognized as a Best Paper Award Candidate at CVPR 2023 (Top-12 papers). Currently, I am a Visiting Researcher at SketchX.
In the summer of 2021, I interned at Adobe Research (London), working with Tuanfeng Wang and Duygu Ceylan. Our collaboration resulted in an oral presentation at 3DV 2022 (Top-13 papers).
Before my PhD, I spent nearly two years (2018–2020) as a full-time research assistant at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. I was supervised by Umapada Pal. In January 2022, I was invited back as a Visiting Scientist.
I actively review for top-tier conferences and journals, including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, AISTATS, NeurIPS, ICLR, Transactions on Multimedia, Computer & Graphics, Pattern Recognition, PRL, ICPR, and Machine Intelligence Research.

Personal blogs.
As you see, I love pizza. I am a bengali boy born in a town known as Durgapur. I love to solve problems...any problem...be it fixing a toy (or rather destroying one) or imagining about how computation can help this planet (not just humans). Some of my shortcomings include: being extremely lazy, getting over-excited by a new idea, and easily distracted even by a fly !! I prioritize
doing what you love no matter the odds above everything. I am also very stubborn meaning...I get irritated when I am unable to solve a problem which I want to solve and then solving that problem becomes imperative for me to move on with my life or everything halts around that problem (which might not always be a good thing).
